Norwegian Christmas bread (Julebrød)

We are in the midst of a late summer heat wave here in Saint Paul, MN. and our air conditioning is working overtime right now. The last thing I want to do is turn on my oven or boil something on the stove. But we have to eat!

Gluten-free Chocolate Banana Bread
Ok, so here's the deal: I recently decided to remove wheat from my diet. I do not have Celiac disease, but I have many friends who for different reasons have gone gluten-free and experienced great health benefits from doing so.
