I look at the local newspaper from my hometown Bergen, Norway almost daily.

As I was going through my my ever growing recipe pile sitting on my desk, I found this recipe that I had torn out from our local newspaper quite a while ago.

Hamburger Buns
I did a lot of cooking over the week end. And I think I am back in the game after a period of feeling unmotivated and uninspired in the kitchen.

Slow-cooker Barbecue Pulled Pork Sandwiches
This week I want to share some really good slow-cooker recipes. This is a new cooking method for me since I just recently purchased one.Slow-cookers (or Crock pots as they are commonly called) have been around for decades and many of my friends tell me they own one but never use it. Well, lately it seems the slow-cooker is experiencing somewhat of a revival. There are many new beautiful slow-cooker cookbooks out there and every major food magazine have run features on slow-cooking and offer many wonderful recipes.

Grilled Cheese and Fried Egg sandwiches
This is not your average Grilled cheese sandwich! It is hands down the best one I have ever had! I haven't made anything really extraordinary lately (therefor the absence of postings last week), but I am really excited to share this recipe idea with you.

Make-your- own sandwich buffet
When you cook for a relatively large family every day of the week like I do, you have to be creative. I don't always feel like cooking up a storm, but I still want us to have a nice meal together. Last nights dinner is a great example. I had a busy day and since it was our first real spring day, I didn't feel like spending all afternoon in my kitchen (I also had just cleaned it up so nicely, and I just wanted to savour the cleanliness for just a little while.). So, I decided on something simple that required very little preparation, a make-your-own-sandwich buffet.

Make ahead, serve fast!
Wednesdays are always hectic. I volunteer in the kitchen at Meals on Wheels in the morning and I work at Cooks in the afternoon. I usually make it home just at 6 o'clock.
